Description
Taste and appearance: Today when we refer to the term IPA we must keep in mind some basic characteristics that define this beer:
– golden-orange to reddish light, intense, bright and clear color.
– 5-7% alcohol content (There are also double IPAs with a higher alcohol content, up to 10% ABV, also known as Imperial IPA)
– high hop content and high IBU (Beer Bitterness Unit) levels from various mainly aromatic hop varieties.
The resulting aromas and flavors are usually fruit (lemon, grapefruit, citrus), but also pine, herb-flowers.
